Nicaraguan League Player of the Week
Cuban Bárbaro Cañizares of Indios del Bóer was chosen as the player of the week. Cañizares connected for seven hits at 13 at-bats for a .538 batting average in four games.
For the season, Bárbaro leads the Ligas Nicaragüenses de Beisbol Profesional in the three triple crown catagories with a .348 batting average, nine home runs, and 32 RBIs; In addition, Cañizares is tied for the lead with 47 hits, 10 doubles, three triples, and tied for second with 28 runs.
