MEX PAC NOTES

Vinny Castilla rocked Mexico City Olmeca League as special guest for the opening of 2005-2006 season, throwing the ceremonial first pitch, and signing hundreds of autographs to kids and family reunited for the occasion.
Castilla as usual a nice and easy guy, recalled his younger days playing in this fields as a little leaguer , while participating with his native Oaxaca into national championships.

Sergio Mitre , the Chicago Cubs hurler has joined Hermosillo to give them a bust for the second half of the season.

Lee Sigman to whom Yaquis announced as their new skipper, might not become the manager , simply because he is working full time with Mexican League and moreover he also does some scouting work Hermosillo, so again the Yaquis front office is not knowing what they doing, and I guess the owners must take a look to that situation and resolve it before Yaquis fans run out of patience for their incompetence.

One example of that is the Gonzalez brothers , Adrian and Edgar who were both offered to play with Yaquis , because of his dad`s root in this land, but Yaquis office through his “ Officer” went into a lot of justifications for not doing so, results are seen in the standing.
It is funny that his dad had some Obregon friends claiming him why his sons did not play for Yaquis, without konowing that the answer were in Yaquis front office.

Alfredo Amezaga is well conscious of the opportunity to become a regular SS with Florida once that Luis Castillo was traded to Minnesota or at least to become their utility player, a role that Juan Castro has developed well enough in his major league career-

In speaking of that, Castro is still hitless with Cañeros in 3 games.

One has to write up the names of pitchers Juan Pablo Menchaca and Francisco Gil Peña because both Baseball Academy graduates, look as the most promising prospects to MLB , with fastball ranging in the early 90`s still as a teen agers.

The Adan Amezcua- Alfredo Aceves confrontation comes to an end yesterday , when the earlier accepted Alfredo`s apologizes about the fight they went into.
