In Mazatlan, local team Venados ended Culiacan`s winning streak beating them 9 -2 to tied series up.Tomateros starter, Miguel Angel Gonzalez, who before the game remain undefeated with 4-0 record, now was blasted by Venados offensive stamping him with a 8 hits and 5 runs attack.
Part of that attack comes from , Pedro Castellano , Todd Linden and Daniel Fornes who drove clutch runs in to put their team on the lead , in the 3rd inning.
Winner Walter Silva , went 6 innings with 4 hits and 2 runs, one of those through Ben Francisco 7th home run of the season , in showing why he is considered a good big leagues prospect.

The Mazatlan`s hitting combo of Gonzalez brothers strikes back again , as Adrian and Edgar put up the show with 2 hits apiece , but not standing alone , because SS Heber Gomez had a 4 hits game.


Navojoa Mayos repeated the dosage to Yaquis , blasting a furious 17 hits attack off starter Jesus Aurelio Rodriguez and 5 more relievers to defeated them 18 – 1.
Winner Mario “ Mendoza Line Jr. “ Mendoza , went 7 innings allowing 3 hits and one run and relievers Julio Valerio and Luis Mendoza completed the work.

Offensively, Jonathan Aceves and Luis Cruz homered and drove 3 runs in each, while Norris Hopper kept having a terrific winter , belting 3 hits to raised more his BA up to .344 entering to the leagues batting title race , challenging Luis Alfonso Garcia and Juan Carlos Canizalez . both of Hermosillo.
Dodgers SS , Oscar Robles drove 3 runs in as well.


Hermosillo did it again, defeated Mexicali 7 -4 to get series to their side counting on good pitching by winner Azael Alvarez who went 6 innings , allowing 4 hits and 2 runs, having helped by releievers Nelson Figueroa and Jorge de la Rosa to resume the game.
Jon Nunnally who has been very quiet with the bat, last night he smashed a 3 runs home run, his first in the year to lead the attack, along with 3B Jorge Luis Valle who doubled home 2 runners in.
Loser Jorge Flores went 7 innings allowing 9 hits and 6 runs.

Christian Quintero kept his hitting streak underway , with a home run in the very first inning to reached 27 consecutive games hitting safely in chase of Andres Mora record of 29 and Francisco Rodriguez pitched a solid game to get his 5th win of the season to beat Guasave 5 – 1.
Losing pitcher Rudy Gonzalez was a victim of his lack of control , allowing 7 walks ,
Cottoneers reliever Jorge Luis Castillo worked 2. 1 innings fanning 6 Cañeros,
It was Quintero`s only hit in the game for Los Mochis , while teammate Victor Bojorquez got 3 to maintain his consistency and raised BA up to .323.

MEX PAC NOTES

Puerto Rican OF , Armando Rios is playing for Guasave and currently with a .143 BA

Chris Latham was signed by Obregon , also Arile Prieto is scheduled to pitch tonight vs. Navojoa

Pitcher Edgar Lizarraga of Los Mochis, and a member of the Mexican team that participated in the Qualification series in Phoenix was released by them not letting him to even return to the team
