MEXICO CITY--OAXACA

Red Devils and Warriors splitted victories yesterday at Jose Vasconcelos Stadium, having Oaxaca winning the first game 12-4 and Diablos the second 9-2.
With 8 runs scored in the opener off former big leagues pitcher JOSE SILVA (0-2) Warriors led by the hand of pitcher J.J. JIMENEZ (1-0), pick up this important win.
For Diablos, OF VICTOR BOJORQUEZ hit a home run (2),as for Oaxaca FELIX JOSE (4) and CHRISTIAN QUINTERO (1) had round trippers.
For the second game another former major leaguer, LHP ROBERTO RAMIREZ (2-1) tossed a 7 innings work ,allowing only 3 hits to lead Diablos to a win by 9-2.
He was fully supported on HR´s by MANUEL VELEZ his second in as many days, ROBERTO SAUCEDO (4) and a 3 ruuns shot by JOSE LUIS SANDOVAL (2).
For Oaxaca, CHRISTIAN QUINTERO (2) didi it again.

YUCATAN--MONCLOVA

Veteran RHP JUAN MANUEL PALAFOX got his 199th win in his career of 23 seasons and second of this young season and led Yucatan Lions to a victory over Monclova Steelers by 12-3.
He went 5 innings with 5 hits and 1 run allowed.
Offensively, he was supported on good hitting from the Venezuelan combo of WILLIE ROMERO (2) and PEDRO CASTELLANO (4) who along with SCOTT BULLETT (2) hit home runs for Yucatan.
JACIEL ACOSTA (0-2) lost Monclova.

CANCUN--MONTERREY

Sultans pitching are simply unbeatable, when for third time in a row they shutout their opponents Cancun Lobstermen by a score of 3-0.
Winning pitcher ISAURO PINEDA (2-1) who pitched last year in A Ball with Augusta, a Red Sox farm team, went 6 innings with 6 hits and with the help of closer MAXIMO DE LA ROSA (save 3) completed the swept. JOSE VICENTE SALDAÑA (0-1) ,lost for Cancun
Sultans catcher ADAN AMEZCUA who continues hot, went 4-3 in the game

TIJUANA--ANGELOPOLIS

Tigers on a coming from behind victory over Tijuana Colts 6-5, took this series home.
Colts scored easily in the first 2 innings, supported in RANDALL SIMON RBI single, a HR by ABRAHaM VALENCIA off winning pitcher ALEJANDRO ARMENTA (1-1) , however Tigers started to score runs to come closer, and finally a 2 runs RBI double by catcher ADAN MUÑOZ was the game winning blast.
Reliever EDUARDO NERI (0-1) lost for Tijuana ,while veteran OF MATIAS CARRILLO went 4-3 in the game.

PUEBLA--AGUASCALIENTES

With winning pitcher FRANCISCO RIVERA ( 1-0) on the mound and a clutch 3 RBI´s home run by red hot Venezuelan EDUARDO RIOS ( 7) , the Railroadmen team beat Puebla 4-1.
Rivera went 7.2 innings with 7 hits and 1 run only.
ERICK KNOTT (2-1) lost for Puebla.

VERACRUZ--SAN LUIS POTOSI

A 7 runs rally in the 6th was good enough for Veracruz to beat San Luis by 13-8, counting on a good relief pitching by winner HUGO AGUILAR ( 1-0) and getting the support from guess who?, red hot hitter WILLIS OTAÑEZ who blasted his 9th and league leading home run who was well accompanied by teamates TILSON BRITO ( 2), OMAR RAMIREZ (6) and MANUEL CAZARIN (3).
SALVADOR VILLAREAL also in relief work lost for San Luis from whom ALEX AHUMADA collected 3 hits.

LAGUNA --TABASCO

The Cowboys scored twice in the 10th inning, after RBI´s single by RAMON ESPINOZA and a double by CORNELIO GARCIA to beat Olmecas 10-8.
Reliever BEN RIVERA (2-2) the winner, while also reliever ROLANDO VIERA (0-1) the loser.
For Tabasco JULIAN YAN blasted a couple of HR´s to get 5 in the season,as well as CARLOS SIEVERS (3).
For Laguna, RAFAEL ALVAREZ aLso knocked twice ( 2 and 3) and RUDY PEMBERTON (2).

SALTILLO--CAMPECHE

Ruben Rivera ended a torrid fight over 14 innings with a GWRBI single in the bottom of the 14 th inning to lead Campeche to a win over Saltillo 6-5.Rivera went 7-3 with 5 RBI´s and a homer and CHAD HERMANSEN making his debut with Pirates also homered, while for Saltillo PEDRO VALDEZ got his round tripper.
Starter FRANCISCO CAMPOS failed to pick up a victory once again,
EFRAIN SANCHEZ the winner and ALEJANDRO RIOS the loser.
