PUEBLA--CAMPECHE

Parrotts showed no respect for heralded pitcher FRANCISCO CAMPOS, recently released from Mets spring training camp, and winning pitcher ERICK KNOTT put up the not, to allowed his teamo to beat Pirates 8-4.
Campos allowed 12 hits, three of them home runs and 6 earned runs to take the loss.
In the opposit, Knott went 8 innings allowing 3 hits, two of them home runs ,in getting his second win of this season.
JULIO TRAPAGA, HECTOR HURTADO and JULIO RUBEN GONZALEZ who made his debut in pro baseball hit home runs for Puebla, while RUBEN RIVERA,ROBERTO MEJIA and ROBERTO VIZCARRA did it for Campeche.

MONTERREY--MEXICO CITY

ISAURO PINEDA a former Red Sox farmhand, tossed a solid pitching performance over 5 innings ,allowing only 5 hits and two runs to beat Red Devils by a score of 11-4.
Sultans to complete this work, needed the hand of relievers FERNANDO VILLALOBOS and JOSE COBOS.
Offensively the Sultans counted on BUBBA SMITH who went deep with one man on, and DEMOND SMITH also had a HR.
For Red Devils, RAY MARTINEZ hit a solo shot, while pitcher ROBERTO RAMIREZ was shaken and lost for Mexico City.

SALTILLO--SAN LUIS

Sarape Makers OF, JUAN JOSE MUÑOZ who has been red hot this young season went 6-5 in the game to lead his team to a blasting 14-4 win off San Luis.
Puerto Rican, PEDRO VALDEZ (5-4 ,4 RBI´s), and MARIO VALENZUELA with 4 RBI´s also contributed to the victory, in which pitcher MIKE SAIPE ,was the winner (1-1), and ENRIQUE QUIÑONES (0-1) the loser.

CANCUN--ANGELOPOLIS

JESSE RAMIREZ went 4-3 with a HR and 3 RBI´s to lead Cancun to a win off Tigers, and reliever ALEJANDRO SANCHEZ picked up the win, while also reliever ALEJANDRO ARMENTA the loss for Tigers.
There was HR´s from SERGIO GASTELUM,JAVIER ROBLES and JORGE VAZQUEZ all for Tigers.

YUCATAN-- OAXACA

Lions roared so strong tho beat Warriors 13-2, supported in a solid performance by JUAN MANUEL PALAFOX (1-0) who went 6 innings,allowing 7H, 2R and 5 K´s, meanwhile offensively, JUAN CARLOS CANIZALES and PEDRO CASTELLANO drove in 3 runs a piece,including a HR (2),as well as WILLIE ROMERO and SCOTT BULLETT (2).
Nicaraguan, OSVALDO MAIRENA lost for Oaxaca (0-2).

VERACRUZ--TABASCO

In another red hot performance by WILLIS OTAÑEZ, who drove in 6 runs, led the Reds to a blowing victory off Olmecas 24-9.
Veracruz scored as many of 11 runs in the 3rd inning, in which Otañez had a 3 runs shot, followed by another round trippers by OMAR RAMIREZ and FRANCISCO JAVIER VALDEZ.
For Tabasco, JULIAN YAN hit two home runs , and losing pitcher BRONSWELL PATRICK allowed 10 hits, and 10 runs in a 2.2 innings of work.
For Veracruz, ageless pitcher ANGEL MORENO captured his second win of the season, undefeated.

MONCLOVA --TIJUANA

HECTOR GARANZUAY ( 5-3) game winning RBI in the 9th, led the Steelers to a victory off Tijuana Colts 5-4.
BILL SIMAS in relief, the winning pitcher (1-0) and DAVID SINOHUI also in relief the loser (0-1).

AGUASCALIENTES--LAGUNA

In a long extrainnings game and after 12 innings played, the Railroadmen beat the Cowboys 14-12 led by the hand of HECTOR GUIZAR who went 7-4 with 5 RBI´s , a HR included.
LINO URDANETA the winning pitcher (1-0) and the save went for the Mexican Baseball Academy first draft pick GERARDO AGUILAR, making his debut in Mexican League.
ORLANDO "DUQUECITO" HERNANDEZ failed to win for a second time for Laguna.
