Dominican Republic won the final game to Puerto Rico 3-1. with winning pitcher Daniel Cabrera (2-0 ) in the mound for six innings and get the help of relievers Vladimir Nuñez (6) and Damas
o Marte in the 9th and finished in second place tied with Venezuela.

It was final scheduled game to replace the one missed in the opening because DR failed to play because traveling problems.

Mexico posted 6 players into the CS All Star Team, and Frank Campos as expected, was designated the 2005 CS Most Valuable Player, and RH.Manager J.J. Pacho the selection pf top Manager as well as fellow players, Vinny Castilla ,3B Miguel Flores 2B, Derrick White LF, DH Erubiel Durazo and Closer Luis Ayala the best reliever.

Venezuela provided,4 players like 1B Alex Cabrera, CF Rene Reyes, RF Alex Romero and LHP Ricardo Palma.
DR Provided the rest of the All Star Team with SS Miguel Tejada and C Alberto Castillo who enjoyed a good series catching and batting, to prove that he still one of the best catchers around.

CARIBBEAN BITS :

It was first title for Mazatlan representing Mexico for the 5th time, in which they played 30 games, with a record of 9-21.
It was also the fifth time that a Mexican team win the classic, previous was Culiacan Tomato Growers in 2002 in Caracas.
However it was the first time they got a title playing as a host team.

Francisco Campos received one special gift from Chicago, his unconditional release, that now allows him to sign to anyone interested on him.
His 23 K´s in CS let him 6 shy of the all time record set up by Juan Pizarro (PR) back in 1958 who fanned that many in only 16.2 innings pitched.

Puebla Tigers (Mexican League), freed P Jorge Campillo to go and try out for a chance to pitch in the big leagues, without tagging a price on him after someone really wants to sign him up.

Derrick White´s 5 K´s in a game, set up a new record for CS, breaking previous one of 4 shared by 4 players, Carlos Valenzuela (MX 1977), Roberto Petagine ( VZ 1995), Raul Casanova ( PR 2001 ) and Warren Newson ( MX 2001 ).

Next CS will be held in Venezuelan cities of Maracay and Valencia, in February 2006.
