Folks, please find below, the top performers in this past CS in each and every category:

BATTING:

Arizona Diamondaback SS Puerto Rican Alex Cintron ,the batting champion with .500 ( 20-10) in 5 games played, Mexico´s 2b Miguel Flores , .423 (26-11) , DR 3B Ronnie Belliard .417 ( 24-10), PR 3B Julius Matos .400 ( 20-8) all in 6 games played.

HOME RUNS:

Mexico´s OF, Derrick White and Jonny Gomes, both tied with 2.

RBI´S:

Mexico´s Vinny Castilla and Derrick White on top with 7, followed by Erubiel Durazo with 5.

HITS:

Miguel Flores (MX), the leader with 11, folowed by Alex Cintron and Ronnie Belliard with 10 a piece.

DOUBLES:

Again, Miguel Flores with 3, followed by Alberto Castillo, Ronnie Belliard, Bernie Castro from DR and Venezuelan OF Rene Reyes, all with 2.

Alberto Castillo, the king in OBP with .500 and Slugging with .667, so you see why he was nominated to the All Star Team.

TEAM BATTING

DR dominated with a .255 percentage, followed by Puerto Rico Venezuela and Mexico.

TEAM PITCHING :

Of course ,the Mexican team who supported their winning in pitching staff who allowed only 2.0 of ERA
Frank "K´s " Campos, with 2 wins , also led in strikeouts with 23 and most innings pitched with 16,.

In losses, Bill Pulsipher (PR), lost 2 along with Venezuelan Horacio Estrada.
Bill also allowed most HR than anyone else,with 5.


HOW OTHER WELL KNOWN PLAYER PERFORM?

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

Let´s see, Miguel Tejada (Orioles), batted .261 with 4 RBI´s, and committed 2 errors at SS, Pedro Feliz (SF), batted .222, Luis Polonia ( Nationals) .227, Rafael Furcal (Braves) .250.
Miguel Batista ( Toronto) 1-0 and 2.45, Daniel Cabrera (Orioles) 1-1 and 4.66 and 10 K´s, one per inning pitched, Julian Tavarez (Cardinals ) 0-1 and 6.75 ERA, and whiteSox closer Damaso Marte went 2.2 innings in relief fanning 6 opponents.

VENEZUELA

Alex Cabrera (Seibu) .208, with one monster HR to beat Mexico, Jose Castillo (Pittsburgh) .241 but surprisingly played 3 different field positions, 2 games as SS as well as 3B and CF and commited 2 errors , so there´s a message sent to Pirates and how to better using him in next season.
Jorge Velandia (Mets) .231

MEXICO

Vinny Castilla ( Nationals ) .238 but with a leading 7 RBI´s and 1 HR, Erubiel Durazo (Oakland) .250 , Jonny Gomes ( Tampa Bay) ,who struggled average wise with .187 ,2 HR´s among those however he was fanned 13 times. Trenidad Hubbard (Iowa Cubs) .280, Miguel Ojeda (San Diego) only .111 and 8 K´s included, Bill Selby (Iowa), .097 with limited playing time.
Elmer Dessens ( Dodgers) 1-0 and 3.60, Luis Ayala (Nationals) 0-0 as closer but saving one game in 4 games he pitched in.

PUERTO RICO

Other than Cintron .500 , Julius Matos .400 and Lou Lucca .300, "there is nothing to write at home"
