There is mardi grass at Mazatlan, not only because it´s a yearly traditional celebration that take place here, also because local people are clebratintg that host team The Deet got the Caribbena Seroies title, beating DR in an emotional and dramatic game 4-3.
It is the first time ever that a Mexican Team get the championship in homeland, and had to be this destiny team Deer, that obtained it, a teame coached by Former great SS Juan Jose Pacho, whos is regarded as one of the best manager in Mexico, because the way he handles players, a respectful person who does the same with players and made form a tea.

But coming back to last night game whIch ended at 2.20 AM this morning, Mexico had a lead of 4-0 in the 9th inning and winner Frank "K´s" Campos, who allowed only 3 hist and fanned 13, started the 9th and allowed two men on, a walk to Luis Polonia and Miguel Tejada singled, and reliever Jose Luis Garcia and Matt Cepicky singled home Polonia and closer Luis Ayala (Washington), came in to face Ronnie Belliard who singled home Tejada, a walk to Alex Fernandez, then a double play groundball by Alex Gomez. however the drama continues when Alberto Castillo is walked, and finally the game ended up when Alex Gomez grounds to the mound and Ayala made the out 27 and thus the title satyed in Mexico.

Mazatlan scored 2 runs after Derrick White´s single, adn scored two more in the 5th innnig when our major league combo strikes back again ,Vinny Castilla singled and Erubiel Durazo hit a shot ,good for 2 runs and put Mexico in the lead 4-0 off starting pitcher Juan Francsco Peña who went 5 innings with 4 hits adn same amount of runs and 3 K´s.

For Mexico, Campos went 8 innings of tremendous job, demonstrating that he really is the quality pitcher he has bee, by facing a major league plagued team like DR, and getting through.
He deserves the opportunity to be observed during coming spring training and I am sure someone will give him this opportunity. He is a sure shot to be this series MVP.

Earlier in the 3rd game of this sunday journey, Puerto Rico eneded up their 12 games losing streak by beating Venezuela 4-3 in 12 innings and by the same token eliminating them from the championsip race.
A HR by Puerto Rican slugger, Randy Ruiz off relief Tim McClaskey over the right field fence was the difference.
