Cibao Eagles of Dominican Republic beat Venezuela, Aragua Tigers for their second loss of this tournament and pushed them down on the standing after leader Mexico, by a score of 5-1 with major league pitcher Miguel Batista (Toronto) on the mound working 6.2 innings ,allowing 4 hits 1 run and fanning 7 Venezuelan hitters.
Arnie Muņoz and Jose Vargas completed the work.
Ronnie Belliard hit one out of the park, and Luis Polonia had 4 hits in the win.
LHP Horacio Estrada lost his second game of the series for Venezuela.

In the second game, Jorge Campillo showed and tell, that his regular season pitching championship was not a miracle, tossed 8 solid innings against Mayaguez and beat them 5-0.
It was the second shutout of the series, both by Mexican pitchers, the first one come from Frank Campos.
Campillo went 8 innings, with 7 hits and 8 Kīs.Jose Luis Gracia threw the last inning
Mexico scored one run in the opener after a base hit by Trenidad Hubbard, a fielderīs choice on Miguel Flores gorunder to second , a stolen base by Hubbard and then Vinny Castilla drove him home with another grounder. It was Castillaīs 7th RBI of the tournamnet to keep up leadership on this department.

Josue Matos started and lost for Puerto Rico, who are now under a concerning losing streak in CS that have reached 12 games in a row.
Bill Selby hit a HR off Matos, in the 4th inning.

After this game Venezuela will face Puerto Rico and afterwards, DR will face Mexico,a game that will probably define this series.
