Rain fallen all Sunday over Mazatlan which resumed about 4 pm, did not allow to play due to poor ground conditions, and organization staff declared that, a double header will be played today Sunday Feb 6th, starting at 10 AM pacific time, with the saturday schedule playing first, then followed by regular scheduled games of sunday.
This will be second time in CS history in which due to this same rainy conditions a doubleheader will be scheduled, last time was in Hermosillo, Mexico back in 1992.

CARIBBEAN BITS:

Miguel Tejada declared this CS as his last, because he wants now to rest a litle bit before spring training and to also spend more family time.

Damaso Marte the White Sox LH, is aspiring to become the team closer during 2005 season.

Miguel Batista, the Toronto pitcher so you know is also an intelectual guy, and a avid reader who spend more of his free time doing so.

Matt Stark a former # 1 pick by Toronto,who resumed his playing days in Mexico and participated with the country in some CS, is here as an scout for Seattle Mariners and have shown some interest on signing mexican players like, Walter Silva,champio pitcher Jorge Campillo and even for Frank " K´s" Campos who belongs to Chicago White Sox and have no big interest on him up to the point that nobody from that organization has come to watch his performance here.

Famous Dodgers Scout Mike Brito a personality in this baseball was attending the CS up until saturday when he left to Miami to be introduced there in the Cuban Hall of Fame..Congratulations to Mike.

Venezuela win over Mexico 5-4 ended up a losing streak between the two representation teams, that lasted 8 games then.
Venezuela championship droughness in CS is now 15 years long
