Culiacan Tomato Growers star pitcher Jorge Campillo. won his 9th game undefeated to tied leagues´record of most games win undefeated hold by Tim Leary and posted while pitching for Tijuana Potros back in 1987-1988 season.
A 26 years old right handed out of Tijuana,the hometown of Benji Gil, Rigo Beltran, Esteban Loaiza,Jose Silva among others well known names of baseball players, has been simply outstanding beating opposition as easy as thinking he deserves a chance to be tried up in the biggies.
Some scouts has been seen watching this young guy, who´s best pitch are breaking ball, and his fastball is an accepted high 80´s one.
Yesterday, he went 7 inning allowing only 3 hits one unearned run and Marc Kroon came in to save the game, his 17th of the season, and HR leader Adan Muñoz contributed with his 15th slammer.
Campillo´s win also made his team to take the lead in this second half. one game ahead of Obregon Yaquis,Mochis Cane Growers and Mexicali Eagles who are all tied up in second place with a 5-4 record.Culiacan is 6-3.

In Obregon and in another record setting game, The Los Mochis SugarCane Growers beat the Yaquis 7-1 and catcher Mario Santana's Grand Slam not only put his team in route to a victory, but was the 7th four bagger hit by the team to set up a new league´s record ,and also avoided the swept.
Chris Brock started and lost for Yaquis.while Enrique Quiñonez (1-2) took the win, supported for Carlos Sievers (9) and Roberto Mendez (4) round trippers .

In Guasave, red hot catcher Noe Muñoz 3 runs homer ,was all his team needed to beat Navojoa 6-4, while pitcher Guillermo Carrillo (2-0) hold the Mayos through 3 innings in relief to get the win.
Morgan Burkhar got his 12th HR of the season for Navojoa.

Mazatlan Deer, took on Hermosillo 10-4, with a solid pitching performance by Rigoberto Loya (3-2) and perfect night by Joe Dillon,who went 4-4 in the game with one HR (3) and also Homers by Jason Dubois (10th)and Roberto Saucedo his 6th, contributed to make tehir team beating the Orange Growers and stopped their longest winning streak of 4 games this season.
For Hermosillo, Dan Johnson (9) and Iker Franco who are closely watched for major league scouts got his 11th tripper.

WHO´S HOT

Catcher Noe Muñoz and OF Andy Tracy (13 Hr) continued hiiting well. Tracy have 4 Hrs in last 5 games in as only 93 AB, while Muñoz (.444) in last 5 games is batting leader with .373.
Maztlan's Jason Dubois (Cubs) is .364 over the last 10 games , with 4 HR Included, and now his average improved to close to .300 and 10 HR's.

WHO´S NOT

Mochis OF Jayson Bass continues struggling, he is only .218 in the season, an unbelievable average for him.
Mexicali Alex Pelaez is only .143 in last 5 games,as well as Bill Selby, only .111 in same games.
Navojoa's Luis Cruz (Rancho Cucamonga) is .182 in last 5 games.
Jeff Cirillo has hit a HR yet in 40 plus AB.
Kit Pellow (Rockies) is only .167 in last 5 games and .279 in the season
Trenidad Hubbard and Scott Seabol both Mazatlan Deers just don't find the way of hitting, and drowning in the .100 AVG over the last 10 games.

WHO IS IN:

Pitcher D.J Carrasco (Kansas City) who pitched last season with Obregon has joined Hermosillo
OF Mario Valenzuela (Charlotte), joined Guasave, as well as P Gus Gandarillas and Japanese pitcher Yusaku Iriki who was a #1 draft pick in 1997 with Yomiuri Giants, and last season pitched for the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters having a 2-4 record with 38 K´s in 45 innings pitched is coming to this league,maybe recommended by his countrymen Tetsu Yofu, who has been a pleasant surprise to the Cottoneers.His best season in Japan, comes in 2001 with Giants when he posted a 13-4 record.

Its been announced that Mazatlan players Jason Dubois and Will Ohman both Chicago Cubs best prospects will leave the team by mid December as per their organization instructions to go back and rest good enough to be in good shape for spring training.

IF Bryant Nelson, a veteran in this league has arrived to Hermosillo to play, now that Vinny Castilla expressed not to be in conditions to come up and play for Orange Growers, so needing a 3B they pulled up for Nelson.
