The Wyverns took advantage of the five costly errors to tree the Bears in Inchon.
Cho Ung-chun pitched 1 and 2/3 innings for his 16th save of 2003.
Samsung Lions 16 – Lotte Giants 2:
A couple of two-run homers and a three-run blast by Lee Seung-yeop led the toppling of the Giants in Pusan. Lee has 29 home runs in 53 games this year and 297 homers for his career.
He set the single season mark with 54 home runs in 1999.
Bae Young-soo earned his fifth win of 2003 by giving up only two runs and five hits in seven innings.
LG Twins 5 – Hyundai Unicorns 4 (10 innings):
Kim Sang-hyun 10th inning solo home run with two outs slipped the Twins past the Unicorns in Suwon.
Hanwha Eagles17 – Kia Tigers 8:
Shin Yong-woon became the pitcher in KBO history to give up two grand slam home runs in a single game.
Kim Tae-gyun and Song Ji-man both launched “grand salamis” to cage the Tigers in Kwangju.
