Chunichi Dragons 6 - Yokohama BayStars 3 :
Masahiro Araki hit a ninth inning grand slam home run to beat the BayStars.
Yokohama's Tyrone hit two home runs at Kamoike Stadium in Kagoshima.
Yakult Swallows 5 - Hanshin Tigers 3 :
Atsuya Furuta hit a two run homer and Shingo Takatsu earned his third save to help the Swallows go past the Tigers. Takatsu is tied with Kazuhiro Sasaki for the all-time saves leader at 229.
Hiroshima Carp 3 - Yomiuri Giants 2 :
Shinji Sasaoka (2-1) gave up six hits in eight innings for the win as Hiroshima slipped past Kyojin.
Roberto Petagine propelled a huge homer that hit the center-field video screen.
Osaka Kintetesu Buffaloes 12 - Seibu Lions 6 :
The Buffaloes had 16 hits to trounce the Lions at the Osaka Dome.
Both Tuffy Rhodes and Kenshi Kawaguchi went 4-for-5 with three RBI each.
Seibu's Alex Cabrera hit his 2nd and 3rd homers since returning from the disabled list.
Fukuoka Daiei Hawks 2 - Chiba Lotte Marines 0 :
Tsuyoshi Wada pitched a 11 strikeout complete game to lead the Hawks past the Marines at Chiba Marine Stadium. Wada only allowed five hits and no walks.
