Japan Series tied at 1-1

 The Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters evened the series by beating the Dragons 5-2 on Sunday behind strong pitching from rookie starter Tomoya Yagi. Yagi gave up 2 runs in six innings and beat crafty veteran Masahiro Yamamoto. The bats came to life for Trey Hillmans Nippon Ham with Fernando Seguignol going 2-4 with a HR and 3RBIs.Yamamoto gave up three runs in 6 2/3 innings, only one of which was earned. He walked none and scattered five hits, striking out four.

Game 3 is scheduled for
Tuesday night in Sapporo.
