PHILS RUMBLE – SWEEP MARLINS

Chase Utley once more is hot;
good news for other teams it’s not.
He hit two of team’s five,
to help Phils stay alive
in the chase for the top Wild-Card spot.

Sunday, September 24, 2006. Citizens Bank Park, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Philadelphia – 10, Florida – 7.
WP – Moyer (4-2). LP – Olsen (12-9).
HR – H. Ramirez (15), Ross (13), Helms (10), Jacobs (20).
Rollins (24), Utley – 2 (31), Coste (7), Burrell (27).
Note: Ryan Howard missed number 59 by less than a foot.

One, Two, Three

The first two innings were solemn
If we had any punches we'd pull 'em
But wait - could the third be
A Phils home run derby?
Yes! "Put this one in the win column!"

Too many homers from the visiting club...
May turn our run into a flub...
Not much you can do at this late date...
'cept roll the dice and await our fate...
Score lots of runs is our forte'
To make the other teams morte'
We have to do it with lots of runs
cause we sure can't win the two to ones...
