LIEBER BLOWS LEAD, PHILLIES PHADE

It’s tough for the team to have swagger,
when their top pitcher ‘s a six-inning lagger.
We had the game won
when Adkins hit one a ton;
a two-run centerfield dagger.

April 26, 2006. The busted Philadelphia Bank.
Colorado – 6, Philadelphia – 3.
WP- Cook (2-3), Save –Fuentes (4), LP – Franklin (1-2).
HR – Hawpe (6), Adkins (3).

I'm reminded of Casey, the king of clout...
who left guys stranded
while he struck out...

The Phils are like that,
they just run about,
With pitches and hits that go nowhere...
While fans increasingly shout...
The Mighty Phils may have struck out !!!
