YADEL MARTÍ STOPPED LAS TUNAS

It took Industriales 5 tries to beat Las Tunas thanks to a great relief by Yadel Martí, who replaced starting pitcher Dainys García. Marti entered the game in the 8th with 2 runners on and no outs with the game in favor of the Lions 6x4 in front of more than 40 thousands fans.
Marti was rocked in Las Tunas allowing 10 hits and 8 ER, but this time he strikeout Lázaro Ortiz, Quila and pinch hitter Jonhson. Carlos Tabares and veteran Enrique Díaz homer.


GUANTÁNAMO WITH LESTAPIER-DIGURNAY BEAT LA ISLA DE LA JUVENTUD AGAIN

The Guantánamo Indians pitchers had good performances for second day in a row to beat the Grapefruit Croppers. Yandri Lestapier and Alexander Digurnay combined to win 3 x 1. Roberquis Videaux (2 RBI) and Andrés de la Torre (1 RBI) led the Indians.

HOLGUÍN BEAT THE METROPOLITAN WARRIORS TWICE

The Holguin Hounds recorded 2 wins against the Warriors with scores of 4x1 and 3x2. The victories were for pitchers Luis Miguel Rodríguez and Javier Fernández.

Starley Sánchez had 3 of the 5 Warriors hits.

The losing pitcher was veteran René Espín who allowed HR to Juan Rondon and a 3 run bomb to Franklyn Aballe.

GRANMA SORRELS APPLIED THE MERCY RULE TO THE MATANZAS COCODRILES FOR A SECONG DAY IN A ROW

The Sorrels beat the Cocodriles 11x1 led by young RHP Yanier González who won his 7th game of the season. Gonzalez allowed 1 run on 7 hits. He pitched 6 innings striking out 6 and walking 1.


VILLA CLARA IS JUST 2 GAMES BEHING LEADER LAS TUNAS

With 12 hits, the Orange Growers beat the Cienfuegos Shrimps 7x5. Eduardo Paret homer against Adiel Palma. Palma could not make pass the 2nd inning.

Adonis García (5-3) and Dayán Viciedo (4-2) were the best Villa Clara hitters.,
Shrimp Osvaldo Arias hit a 2 run homer.
