The lucky loser Venados, against all odds defeated Mayos 5-3 in the first game o f semifinals, with winner Walter Silva on the mound beating Oscar “ Perfecto• Rivera, counting with the support of 3 runs shot by DH Roberto Saucedo and one more solo shot by Ray Sadler to complete the work.

After Silva who worked 7 innings, Mazatlan used as many of 5 more pitcher to hold up Mayos threats and closer Mark Worrell came in to settled all things down.

For Navojoa, Jonathan Aceves who have signed a minor league contract with Marlins, and hot hitter Jesse Gutierrez homered as part of the 5 hits Mayos collected in the game


Algodoneros led by the hand of Spike Lundberg shut out Naranjetos and major leaguer Edgar Gonzalez to strike the first game by score of 4-0.
Armando Rios and Kevin Barker provided the long ball offensive to support Spike`s fine pitching performance all through the game
