MAZATLAN 8, CULIACAN 1 Francisco Campos 4 - 1 Nate Bland 0 - 1
NAVOJOA 2, OBREGON 1 Humberto Montemayor Ariel Prieto

In a historic double header ,Cañeros and Cottoneers splitted victories with identical 3 -2 scores , in which CHRISTIAN QUINTERO TIED THE RECORD FOR MOST CONSECUTIVE GAMES HITTING SAFELY, hold by ANDRES MORA .
Spike Lundberg picked up the first win ,going the distance and Eduardo Arredondo singled home the GWRBI, to break the 2 – 2 tie. Mario Valenzuela ( 12 ) and Calvin Pickering ( 11 ) homered with one on to provided the respective teams runs.

For the second game, an inspiring work on the mound by Nick Mattioni off Sergio Mora defeated Guasave ,counting with the of a GWRBI double by Hector Garanzuay , who scored Marc Saccommano form second base.
Ramon Orantes for Mochis hit his 6th homer of the year , while Demond Smith didi twice for Guasave, and closer Antonio Osuna registered his 3rd save of the season.

Mexicali Aguilas and winner Claudio Moreno beat Hermosillo and Juan Delgadillo by 5 -3 supported in 3 hits by new batting leader Howie Clark ( .358 ) and 4 hits by Carlos Sievers to lead Mexicali offense.
David Cortes picked up his 4th save of the year for Aguilas.
Clark had a week to remember batting 22 – 11 to climb to the league`s top position, he has a strange combination of power and speed, considering that he is the team`s lead off hitter, has 8 home runs as of now.

Francisco Campos as usual, went 8 innings of a quality pitching allowing only 2 hits and no runs to lead Mazatlan to a series defining win of 8 -1 off losing pitcher Nate Bland and his Culiacan Tomateros, from whom Ruben Rivera`s 11th blast of the season off Leo Muñoz was the only run scored by Tomateros.
Mazatlan had all the support in Ray Sadler who went 4-2 with 4 ribbies in the game

Ariel Prieto making his debut with Obregon went 3.2 innings allowing 2 runs, through Fernando Rios`s double and lost 2-1 off Navojoa Mayos and Humbero Montemayor. Michael Tejera relief over 3.1 innings was wasted since Yaquis did not scored no more runs.
Chris Latham played his first game in Yaquis uniform and went 4 -2 in this game
So, Navojoa swept Obregon send them down to the bottom of the standing.
