Obregón yaquis with only reliable pitcher in their staff, Mark DiFelice outdueled Pablo Ortega and beat Venados 3-1 to stopped their winning streak in 5 games.
Lee Gronkiewicz and rookie Joakim Soria who picked up his 5th save of the year, helped DiFelice to get this important game.

Geronimo Gil smashed his 3rd of the year off Hector Navarro, among the 2 hits he collected in the game, for Venados Todd Linden belted a solo in the 9th off Soria.

Edgar Gonzalez collected 2 hits for Mazatlan and he is now batting .350 in just few game, but showing that he is really taking advantage o fthe opportunity and fine tune his skills to be a starter next summer with New Orleans and seek for the chance to get the big leagues as his brother ,Adrian, who is rumored to be in trade talks with Boston Red Sox.

Guasave Cottoneers beat Mexicali 7-6 and got series with winner Ignacio Flores off loser , also reliever Julio Cesar Parra, who in the ninth inning allowed Guasave`s winning run off then reliever Dave Manning who`s wild pitch making Demond Smith scored the difference run. Dale Thayer zipped the game with his 12th save of the year.

Mario Valenzuela ( 11 ) for Guasave , Bubba Smith ( 8) and Christian Presichi ( 4 ) homered in this game, in which 1B Kevin Barker collected 3 hits for Cottoneers as for Mexicali

Fernando Valenzuela started for Eagles and went 5.2 innings with 7 hits , 4 runs and 4 K`s and still remain with a 1-0 record.


Los Mochis Cañeros beat Navaojoa 6 -.5 once again , completing the sweep , their second in a row , since in previous series Mazatlan stamped one, so now the Mayos are pushing the red button asking for help

Mochis scored 5 runs in two innings to drive up to this victory, when hot hitting Christian Quintero who reached 26 hits hitting safely, singled home 2 runs, and afterwards in the 6th Mario Santana with his 1st home run of the season brought a coule of runs more.
Winner Rafael Diaz, and closer Antonio Osuna who picked up his secnd save of the year pitched for Cañeros form whom Victor Bojorquez smashed his 5th round tripper of the year.

For Mayos , Steve Smitherman doubled home 2 runs in the 5th and Dougla Clark homered home 2 more in the 9th getting closer to tied the game in the 9th.

Culiacan beat Hermosillo 7 – 2 and got series with winner Rigo Beltran off loser Ken Ray who throws hard but has not been able to fInd the winning path for Naranjeros.
Angel Chavez ( 2 ) and Adan Amezcua ( 4 ) contributed with back to back homers in the fifth breaking a then no hit no run , that Ken Ray was sewing.

Tomateros scored a definitive 5 runs in the following ,in which Hector Paez homered as part of the rally.

Jon Nunnally kept on struggling with the bat after going 4-0 in the game and now his BA dropped to .133
