San Diego Padres, back up catcher sent a message to his club , and smashed two home runs yesterday, his 3rd in as many games, to lead the Deer to a victory over favorites Culiacan Tomato Growers, by 5-3.
Ojeda, showing that he is in his best shape to continue as Padres second catcher and ready for a starter position if something happens to Ramon Hernandez, he is also handling pitchers as well as his team is advancing to the final series.
Starter FRANK CAMPOS, worked through 8 innings and got a help from GREG HANSELL to beat Culiacan's pitching ace JORGE CAMPILLO. Now series are 2-1 in favor of Mazatlan, who continues to fight for being the Mexican representatives to the hosting Caribbean Series.

In Mexicali, local team Eagles power display had a show again, and beat the Los Mochis Cane Growers 10-8, counting on HR's by BUBBA SMITH,JONNY GOMES,BILL SELBY,and EMMANUEL VALDEZ 3 RBI round tripper in the 4th inning in which Mexicali scored 6, were all they needed to put the game on their side.
Starter CLAUDIO MORENO, the winner and also starter for Los Mochis ENRIQUE QUIÑONES, the loser.
