Teams have started their revamping towards to become more competitive in the second round, such as Hermosillo who pulled up for the big shots, like Elmer Dessens who debuted yesterday, and not in a lucky way, going only 1.2 innings, allowing 2 runs, and Jorge de La Rosa (Milwaukee), went 1,1 inning but fanning 3, while Culiacan defeated Orange Growers, 7-6 and took the series away from them.
Former big leaguer Narciso Elvira was also activated to pitch for Hermosillo.
Marc Kroon, picked up his 13th save.

In the best game of this first journey, Mazatlan beat Obregon 2-1 in 11 innings, with a walk off HR by Joe Dillon off Allan Simpson (Colorado).
Cardinals prospect Scott Seabol (Memphis Red Birds), played 3B and had two hits for Mazatlan, making his debut this season, a comebacker Seabol played last year also with Deer team.

In other results, Navojoa won over Mochis 8-5 and Guasave did the same with Mexicali 6-5.
Pedro Castellano led Mayos offensive collecting 3 hits, while Dodgers farmhand Mauricio Tequida in relief got the win.

For Mexicali, Jonny Gomes got 3 hits as well.

HIGHLIGHTS

Culiacanīs catcher Adan Muņoz, smashed his 12th HR of the season tying Ramon Orantes of Mochis

Tampaīs 2B, Jorge Cantu got his 8th HR in this past series.

Mazatlan Pitcher, Armando Aceves reached his league leading 44th KO.

Will Ohman, leads in saves with 14 all in consecutives opportunities, to set up a new record, in others words he has not blown any.
