New Articles, 2004 Updates and Japanese Players of the Week, 11/8-11/14
by Jim Albright

I've done two new articles, one detailing a new method for doing conversion of NPB pitching records to a major league equivalent at here.
The other is a combination of a reader's projection of Oh's major league equivalency plus my revision of my own projection of Oh's career here. The new pitching conversion made me revise the evaluation of pitchers who might be worthy of Cooperstown in this article. I've updated a lot of articles due to 2004's results and merger, but most of those are minor. If you care about where Oh ranks as a manager, he moves up a bit as you will see in this article. There's still more updating to come, but I'm still awaiting the Gold Gloves and some other data. However, I've finished the updates for the franchise histories, the success/futility snapshots, the standings, the managers' lists alphabetically and by team, the Japan Series, the Best Nines, the MVP Award, and the Sawamura Award.

11/8 Makoto Kaneko

11/9 Yukio Nishimura

11/10 Mitsuo Motoi

11/11 Masaru Tomita

11/12 Kiyoyuki Nagashima

11/13 Koji Okamura

11/14 Shigeru Kobayashi

This is the eighth week I've done the Japanese players of the week, and I'm looking for feedback. Does anybody use this feature? If you want it to continue, let me know, because I can do other things with the
time if no one is reading it. You can comment below or by e-mailing me through baseballguru.com.
