LIDLE DOES IT ALL – AGAIN

You can’t lose if the opposition doesn’t score.
Last night Cory Lidle entered Phillies lore.
Back to back complete game blanks,
The town and the bullpen give thanks.
He socked a three-run double what’s more.

Saturday, September 4, 2004. The thankful Bank, Philadelphia.
Philadelphia – 7, Mets - 0

Where was Lidle in July ?
Sometimes wonder why
These guys show up so late
to step up to the plate ?

Waiting out Francis in Alabammy
May have put a double whammy
On the future Phiilies foes
As new found hurlers put on good shows !!!
