Tijuana tied series with Parrots, Campeche got first game
FERNANDO VALENZUELA IS BACK

Toros , won today against Puebla Parrots, 8-7 in 10 innings, when relief pitcher,dominican Many Aybar committed balk to allow Luis Landaeta scored the winning run, and tied series 1 game apiece.

In the 10th, Luis Landaeta started with a single,Abraham Valencia sac bunt, advanced runner to second, then manager -player Alex Ortiz, as pinch hitter flied to right and Landaeta tagged to third, scoring with Aybar´s balk.
Parrots, scored 4 runs in the first to take an early lead, drove by back to back doubles by Albino Contreras and Julio Trapaga. Albino Contreras drove the 5th run.
Tijuana, scored two in the 4th, after a solo shot by Derrick White, who later smacked another 2 runs HR, to shorten Parrots lead to 5-4.
Pedro Iturbe, a Puebla´s OF, hit also a HR.
David Cortes, the winner (3-0), and Many Aybar the loser.

In Campeche, Tigers and Pirates finally played the series first game, and winner Danny McGee´s outstanding relief work of six innings, in rescue of starting pitcher Frank Campos, allowing only 5 hits, 2 runs, and the support of SS former Mariners Prospect, Oscar Ramirez, who went 4-2, a homer and 2 RBI´s, lead the Pirates to take the first game over one of the favorites teams to advance to the league´s title, Tigers.
Jorge Campillo, took the loss by Tigers, and Catcher Adan Muñoz hit a solo shot, his second in Play offs.

MEXICAN PACIFIC LEAGUE NEWS

Mexican Pacific League, the Mexico´s winter league, started to get warm, when in Mazatlan , reunited to first, celebrate a first year players draft, and to set up a program for the upcoming caribbean series ,in Mazatlan next February 2005.
The surprising news here was, the return of pitcher FERNANDO VALENZUELA, who have signed to pitch back again, after two years of not playing, with Mexicali Eagles.
Also, Obregon Yaquis announced Marvin Foley, a current AAA Colorado Springs manager (Rockies),to skip the Yaquis, in replacement of Tim Johnson who lead the Yaquis to two finals in a row, but losing both.
Foley, a well known person in this baseball first, as a player with Navojoa in late 70´s. and then as a Manager, with Hermosillo,including a champioship with the same team,in 1992 and a Caribbean series played, in Venezuela
Hermosillo Orange Growers, announced that Tom Gamboa ,will be their Manager for the next season.

Mexican American Players draft was not preformed, letting those players to play as foreigners and taking that sports which are limited to 5 players max.
In past season they used to play as mexican born players.

TRANSACTIONS:

Oscar Villarreal, the Diamonds relief pitcher, was traded to Hermosillo, who received among 3 players involved, Pirates catcher Humberto Cota.
