Saltillo and Mexico City take the lead 2-0
Mexico City Red Devils and Saltillo Sarape Makers, took advantage of playing their first two games at home , winning both to Oaxaca Warriors and Sultans.
In the first game, the Devils got a walk off win 3-2 over Oaxaca, when Roberto Saucedo drove in Chad Meyers ( hit 5-3) with a double in the bottom of the 9th, former Pittsburgh LHP, Roberto Ramirez,started for Mexico City,however relief pitcher, and another David Dominguez, the loss.
In second game, the devils strikes back again, 9-3 supported by SS Jose Luis Sandoval, who drove 6 runs in including a Grand Slam, and a solid pitching performance by Nicaraguan Pitcher Oswaldo Mairena, who went 6 innings, Greg Hansell got the save.
Series continues friday in Oaxaca.
In Saltillo, tuesday night game the host team, took on Sultans by a score of 17-10, counting in a great offensive by SS Nick Garcia, who went 5-3 with 5 RBI´s, including a HR.
Miguel Duarte in relief took the win, and start pitcher Pablo Joel Ochoa the loss.
Also hitting HR´s by Sultans were, Miguel Flores and Edgar Quintero.
Series continues on friday at Monterrey, which is only 50 miles away from Saltillo.
Meanwhile, in Puebla, locas team Parrots, defeated Tijuana 4-1, after Pablo Ortegás pitching, tossing a 7 innings , 6 hits game, and for the Toros, Rafel Piña took the loss.
Yesterday game was rain delayed, and will continue today after 3 innings played.
In Campeche there was rained out for the second day, and series will try to continue today.
