Taiwan Baseball News: Rain, Rain, Won't Go Away

The rain continued to fall on Taiwan and both of last night's games were postponed. Last night's game between the First Securities Agan and Brother Elephants was called before the teams even hit the field. It will be made up June 18, 2003 at Shingcung Stadium instead of Tian Mu Stadium at 6:35 p.m. Taiwan time. The Sinon Bulls will be at the President Lions at Tainan Stadium on June 8, 2003 at 1:05 p.m. (Taiwan time) because their game was also postponed.
The Chinese Professional Baseball league will try to squeeze tonight's games in as a slew of bad weather hits the island of Taiwan.
CPBL NOTE: The Makoto Gida have added right-handed pitcher Peter Moylan to the 25-man roster and removed American native Kevin Henthorne. Moylan is 183 cm tall, weighs 90 kg and also hits right. Henthorne was 0-3-0 with a 5.95 ERA in five games.

Makoto Gida (19-24-2) at China Trust Whales (26-16-4)
The China Trust Whales have fallen three games back of the CPBL-leading Sinon Bulls and will try to makeup ground and hope that the President Lions take care of the Bulls tonight at Jayi Stadium (5:05 p.m. Taiwan time).
The Whales will play the Makoto Gida, who doubled them on Friday night by a score of 12-6.
Sinon Bulls (29-13-1) at President Lions (23-20-2)
The Brother Elephants (23-20-1) have caught up to the President Lions at third place in the standings. The struggling Leos try to keep their hopes alive tonight against the league-leading Sinon Bulls.
