Taiwan Baseball News: All-Star Date Announced; Agan Have New Manager

Brother Elephants 2 President Lions 5
The President Lions scored a run each in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings as they beat the Brother Elephants 5-2 last night before 3,091 fans at Tainan Stadium.
Right fielder Chuan-jia Wang powered the 23-16-2 Lions offense as he finished the evening 2-for-4 with one run scored and another driven in while designated hitter Lien-hung Chen went 1-for-3 with two runs plated. Left fielder Hung-yuan Lin went 1-for-3 with one RBI to round out the offense for the Lions.
For the 18-20-1 Elephants, center fielder Chih-yuen Chen went 2-for-4 and right fielder Cheng-ming Pang finished the night 3-for-4 with one run scored.
Closer Jung-yang Tsao pitched one scoreless inning to pick up his 11th save of the season for the Leos.
The Elephants will play the Lions again tonight at 6:35 p.m. (Taiwan time) at Tainan Stadium.

AGAN NEWS: Rong-tsung Tsai was named the First Securities Agan's new skipper after Sheng-ming Hsu was let go. Tsai got his first win last week since taking over two weeks ago for the struggling 8-31-1 Agan, who are in last place in the CPBL.
