Sinon Bulls third baseman Tai-shan Chang was named the Chinese Professional Baseball League's offensive player of the month for the month of April. Chang is currently leading the CPBL in home runs with 11, in RBIs with 37 and second in runs scored with 45.
China Trust Whales pitcher Hiroaki Nakayama was named the CPBL's defensive player of the month after going 3-0-0 with a 1.09 ERA. He is among the league leaders in strikeouts and wins with 42 and five, respectively. Overall, Nakayama is 5-1 with a 1.69 ERA.
