Manager Kwang-hwan Lee notched his 500th career victory as the LG Twins shutout the Hyundai Unicorns 4-0 yesterday in Suwon in the second game of a double-header.
In the earlier game, Sang-hoo Lee blew a save as Micah Franklin hit a three-run home run in the ninth inning to tie the game 7-7.
Samsung Lions 2 Hanhwa Eagles 1
Han-soo Lee doubled in the ninth inning to bring home Tilson Brito, who doubled to leadoff the inning, as the Samsung Lions eked out a 2-1 victory over the Hanhwa Eagles yesterday in Taegu. Brito had earlier tied the game 1-1 with a homer.
Jang-jin Noh picked up the win for the Leos as he improved to 2-1 so far in the 2003 Korea Baseball Organization season.
The Lions have won eight straight games to start the year.

The Lotte Giants still do not have their first win as their losing streak went to eight straight games. On the other end of the spectrum, the Kia Tigers extended their win streak to eight games.
After losing 7-0 in the opener, the Giants attempted to salvage a victory. Starter Young-soo Kim went six innings, giving up only three hits while striking out seven batters. But the Tigers proved why they are one of the KBO's best teams with Jong-beom Lee hitting a three run homer and Kyung-eon Kim hitting a two-run bomb to help the Tigers to a 10-4 win.
In the first game, Mark Kiefer chalked up the win to improve to 2-0 while Kang-chul Lee won the nightcap to improve to 1-0.

SK Wyverns 7 Doosan Bears 3
Sang-jin Kim pitched a dandy of a ball game to pace the SK Wyverns to a 3-1 win over the Doosan Bears yesterday in Seoul in the early game. Kim improved to 1-0. In the late game, Chun-mo Je (1-0) sent the Bears to a 7-3 defeat and extended their losing streak to eight games.
