GAME TWO – MYERS AND VICTORINO
Dodgers ambushed by Myers and his bat,
even Max never imagined that.
The Hawaiian was flyin’,
Dodgers are dyin’;
six more wins, Phils grab the big hat.
Friday, October 10, 2008. Citizens Bank Park, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Philadelphia – 8, Los Angeles Dodgers – 5.
WP – Myers (1-0) [12-13]. LP – Billingsley (0-1) [16-12].
H- Durbin (1) [18], Romero (1) [26], Madson (2) [20]
S – Lidge (2) [45].
HR – Manny Ramirez (1) [38], 4th, 2 on.

Myers goes three for three with three RBIs and two runs scored. Victorino knocks in four and makes leaping catch at 400-foot mark to save two (maybe three) runs. Dobbs, Ruiz, and Myers, seven, eight, and nine hitters, score six runs. BB gods go mad.
Before the game it was announced that Charlie Manuel’s 87 year-old mother had died. After the game it was announced that Shane Victorino’s 82 year-old grandmother had died.
World wide financial markets routed. Life goes on.
