PHILS SWEEP MILWAUKEE, TIE FOR WILDCARD LEAD

Game one:
COMEBACK WIN
Ryan Howard tied it with sixth inning long ball.
Pat Burrell’s, game-winning eighth-inning single, stood tall.
Joe Blanton did his job,
Brewer’s manager made team fans sob,
and Milwaukee continued to fall.
Sunday, September 14, 2008.Citizens Bank Park, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Philadelphia – 7, Milwaukee – 3.
WP – Eyre (4-0), LP – Mota (5-6).
HR – Durham (6), 1st, 1 on; Cameron (25), 5th.
Howard (44), 6th, 1 on; Victorino (12), 8th 2 on.

Game two:
BRETT MYERS
The big righthander was great,
complete game two-hitter sealed Brewers’ fate.
Pat Burrell chipped in with monstrous thump,
nice to see the big guy break his slump.
Sweep leaves Phils tied –12 games left on their plate.
