ANOTHER CUB COMEBACK
Phils’ Blanton, Cubs’ Harden, old Oakland mates,
faced off before Wrigley Field fates.
Blanton left in the 6th ahead two to one,
reliever Scott Eyre walked in Cubs’ tying run.
In the 7th, Soriano homered to open Cub gates.

These tense games have a playoff flavor,
it’s excitement we should not fail to savor.
Major League Baseball at the game’s highest level,
though it seems like our team may be touched by the Devil.
We’re not down yet, still time to return Cubs the favor.
Friday, August 29, 2008. Wrigley Field, Chicago, Illinois.
Chicago Cubs - 3, Philadelphia -2
WP – Samardzija (1-0), LP – Condrey (3-4).
BS – Eyre (2). S – Marmol (7).
HR – Soriano (23), 7th.
