HAMELS, LIDGE, STOP SKID
Two runs this night was enough,
because Hamels and Lidge showed the right stuff.
Pat the Bat once again supplied muscle;
must each game be a nail-biting tussle?
Winning 34 more could be tough.
Sunday, August 17, 2008. PETCO Park, San Diego, California.
Philadelphia – 2, San Diego- 1.
WP – Hamels (10-8), LP – Baek (4-7).
S – Lidge (30).
HR – Burrell (29), 6th.

When a pitcher knows...
Each time he throws...
The most he can bet...
Is a couple...that's all he will get...
He has to be right...
Low and away...high and tight...
inside and out, slower than slow...
"Why can't they give me 4 hits in a row ?"
