UTLEY STEAMING

Chase the Mace like a steam engine hauling the freight.
Plus back-to-back taters from Feliz and Chris Coste,
let Phillies leave foe shriveled up like burnt toast,
and headed full steam for that October date.
Monday, June 2, 2008. Citizens Bank Park, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Philadelphia – 5, Cincinnati – 4.
WP – Kendrick (5-2), LP – Arroyo (4-5).
H – Durbin (3), Gordon (11). S- Lidge (14).
HR – Bruce (3), 4th; Encarnacion (9), 5th.
Utley (21), 1st, 1 on; Feliz (8), 4th, 1 on; Coste (6), 4th.
Utley first second baseman in major league history to homer in seven of
eight games, also hit 20th homer in 58th game, passing Rogers Hornsby’s

Way, way back in '25
not many still alive...
who remember that...
when Rog swung a bat...
it would stand up for 83 seasons
'till a guy named Utley defied all reason..
The word "records" are spoken...
they're made to be broken...
OUTSTANDING !!!
