A TALE OF TWO GMs
A former Phils’ GM named Wade,
is regretting some deals that he made.
To the Phils he sent Lidge, a great closer,
replaced him with Jose Valverde, a poser
who this night the Phillies way-layed.
The present Phils’ GM, Gillick – Pat the Hat,
is happy he got Pedro Feliz and his bat.
This happy night his 9th inning, game-winning double
made up for 8 innings of Shawn Chacon trouble.
Four runs in the 9th looked good from where I sat.
Tuesday, April 15, 2008. Citizens Bank Park, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Philadelphia – 4, Houston – 3.

BS – Valverde (2).
