PHILS FALTER, FALL BACK TO TIE

Dang blang it! Goldangit, and RATS!
Phils coughed up big game to the Nats.
Key errors by Howard and Ruiz did us in,
the ultimate pennant-on-the-line sin;
it didn’t help that Nats silenced Phils bats.

Saturday, September 29, 2007. Citizens Bank Park, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Washington – 4, Philadelphia – 2.
WP – Chico (7-9), LP – Eaton (10-10).
H- Rivera (19), Rauch (33); S- Cordero (37)
HR – Rowand (27), 7th, 0 on, 0 out; Howard (46),8th, 0 on, 2 out.

So it comes down to season-ending game,
to lose it a major-league shame.
Fan Appreciation day at the Bank,
No doubt what fans would most thank.
LET’S GO PHILLIES – put 2007 on team wall-of-fame.

Amazing to me that he started Eaton...
More often than not he has been beaten...
Why in the world would you ever trust...
A 24.8 million dollar bust...
With a game that means so much...
Like pennants and playoffs and such!!!
Not sure who Charlie could have found...
But had to be somebody hanging around...
