KENDRICK TOPS SMOLTZ, PHILLIES TIE METS

Phils jumped on Smoltz for four in the first,
topped by Howard’s screaming two-run burst.
Pat Burrell got into the act,
a third-inning two-run, no kidding fans, fact.
Kyle Kendrick could be Hall-of-Famer Smoltz’ son,
this night he showed the old man how it’s done.
In New York, Mets continued their fold,
a baseball miracle future grandsons will be told.

Time to rattle the bats...
Three games in a row...
'gainst the foes 4 & 0...
Charlie and Manny we'll have to thank...
For a spine tingling showdown right there in the Bank !!!
