GWU, 5 – 3

Kyle Kendrick was terrific, but Brewers’ rookie Gallardo was better.
If Ryan Howard doesn’t pick it up, Phils will soon be a dead letter.
Pat Burrell (16th homer) did his job,
Howard a three-strikeout sob;
come on, big guy, don’t be a sun-setter.

Friday, August 3, 2007. Miller Park, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Milwaukee – 2, Philadelphia – 1.
WP – Gallardo (4-1), LP – Kendrick (5-2).
H – Shouse (16), Turnbow (27). S – Cordero (33).
HR – Burrell (16), 7th, 0 on, 2 out.

We know he's no coward...
But the way he swishes...
He's "Hurricane" Howard...
Misses unusually viscious...
Could have rhymed fishes or wishes...
Or twitches or stitches...
Suspicious or delicious...
Too many would be auspicious...
