HAMELS, HOMERS, HAMMER HOUSTON

Cole Hamels was sharp, won for the tenth time;
fanned eight and walked none, not bad, almost sublime.
Phils hauled out their homerun lumber,
just in time to avoid a three-game losing slumber.
A small step in the let’s-win-this-thing climb.

Wednesday July 4, 2007. Minute Maid Park, Houston, Texas.
Philadelphia – 8, Houston – 3.
WP – Hamels (10-4), LP – (6-6).
HR – Munson (2), 3rd, 0 on, 0 out; Pence (11), 9th, 0 on, 0 out.
Helms (3), 5th, 0 on, 0 out; Rollins (15) 5th, 0 on, 2 out;
Howard (20), 8th, 1 on, 0 out; Burrell (10), 8th, 0 on, 1 out.
