SPORADIC YANKEE JOURNAL:
with apologies to Nat King Cole and "Nature Boy."

THERE WAS A TEAM, A VERY STRANGE AND UN-ENCHANTED TEAM
THAY SAY THEY WERE GOING TO GO VERY FAR, VERY FAR,
A DIVISION CHAMP THEY WOULD BE.
BUT NOW I AM VERY SAD OF HEART,
FOR NY HAS FALLEN APART!
MAYBE THERE WILL BE A DAY,WHEN THEY WILL FIND THEIR WAY,
AND ALTHOUGH I CAN WISH FOR ONLY GOOD THINGS
AND HOPE THE PENDULUM SWINGS
THE GREATEST THING I GUESS I'LL EVER LEARN
IS THAT PAST GLORY'S DON'T ALWAYS RETURN!!
