TRIBE ON SIXTH INNING WARPATH

”Subtract the sixth inning and the Phils get a win,”
he said, just half kidding, with a thin sheepish grin.
When Howard touched Sabathia for a double to right,
it looked like it might, it just might, be the Phillies night.
Not. A foe’s eight-run inning’s like a kick in the shin.

Wednesday, June 20, 2007. Jacob’s Field, Cleveland, Ohio.
Cleveland – 10, Philadelphia – 6.
WP – Sabathia (10-2), LP – Lieber (3-6).
HR – Barajas (4), 3rd, 1 on, 1 out.

Not as good as we'ed hoped...
Our windowa got soaped...
But somehow we coped...
Braves and Mets played like dopes...

So don't feel too sad...
We're not playing bad...
We ought to be glad...
That they still can be had...
