YOU CAN’T MAKE THIS STUFF UP

Why were the baseball gods crying?
In the 7th, Phils down 7-3 in the rain, but god knows still trying.
Ryan Howard, MVP, creamed one to center for the lead,
it looked like that’s all we would need.
But no, in the 9th Madson and el Pulpo coughed it up,
team and fans sagged like a wet-dog pup.
But wait! It was Victorino hula figurine day at the Bank,
the script says we have the flyin’ Hawaian to thank,
for a fairy tale walkoff homerun. Who said this team is dying?

Beneath the waves is no place to play...
Stay too long and your breath goes away...
Splashing and thrashing we're making our way...
Above the foam, this time to stay !!!
