RARE

What is so rare as a 5-4-3 triple play?
How about 15 Cole Hamels K’s on the same day?
Or maybe an April Phils’ win?
And NOW let the season begin.
Pitching and defense is the way.

April 21, 2007. The Great American Ballpark, Cincinnatti, Ohio.
Philadelphia – 4, Cincinnatti – 1.
WP – Hamels (2-0), LP – Milton (0-3).
HR – Conine (2), second inning, none on, none out,
Utley (3), sixth inning, none on, one out; Rowand (2), eighth inning, none on, one out.

Young King Cole...
Is fearssome 'ol soul...
Who makes hitters shiver...
as they flail down the river...

Hope it's a start...
To stop falling apart...
And pick up the pace...
In a tough pennant race...
