Phillies Journal - 2007

by Max Blue

Freddy Garcia pitched well, but not well enough,
Hall-of-Famer Tom Glavine once again was too tough.
Another 40-year-old, Moises Alou,
hit two home runs, and fielded too.
Phils look for answers – who’s got the stuff?

April 17, 2007. Citizens Bank Park, Philadelphia, PA.
New York – 8, Philadelphia – 1.
WP – Glavine (3-1), LP – Garcia (0-1).
HR – Alou -2 (2), second inning, one on, none out; sixth inning
none on, none out.

Do something fast...
Or chances won't last...
Through half the summer...
A real bummer...

When your head hits the wall...
And no bricks will fall...
Its time for re-boundin'...
And not just keep poundin'...
