Japan Series: Fighters take game 3

Fighters lead 2-1

 The Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters took a 2-1 game lead in the Japan series by beating the Dragons 6-1 on Tuesday. Rookie starter Masaru Takeda gave up just one run over 51/3 innings in front of a raucous crowd of 41,798 fans in the first-ever Series game in Hokkaido. Fighters slugger Michihiro Ogasawara ended his postseason slump with a two-run double in the bottom of the first inning and Atsunori Inaba slugged a three-run home run in the bottom of the eighth to lift the Fighters to the victory.

The
Fighters will start veteran Satoru Kanemura (9-6 4.48) against Kenichi Nakata (7-4 3.91) in game 4 in the Sapporo dome, Hokkaido Wednesday night.
