FOWL CALL

Chase Utley’s line-drive hit the pole.
Umpire called fowl leaving Phil’s in a hole.
To say Ump’s are blind
is not being unkind,
it is simply a test of our soul.
The lost three runs denied us our goal.

Tuesday, September 26, 2006. RFK Stadium, Washington, D.C.
Washington – 4, Philadelphia – 3.
WP – Ramon Ortiz (11-15). LP – Myers (12-7).

Phils fans say the umps were quite sloppy,
Or perhaps maybe they smoked some poppies.
But let truth be told,
They wanted no scold
From that old umpire-baiter, F. Robby.

The baseball Gods said with a chuckle...
"Lets see if they can survive the white knuckle !!!
We'll call a fair, foul and leave bunches on base...
To see if they're prepared for the chase..."
So tighten the straps and pull the socks on...
Need 5 in a row or else we are gone...
