Game one:

Down five in the second, Phils came back.
Eude Brito came in and picked up the slack.
Howard and Conine got the RBIs;
bullpen gets A plus for tries.
Bobby Cox has taken a whack.

September 13, 2006. Turrner Field, Atlanta, Georgia.
Philadelphia 6, Atlanta 5.
WP White (4-1), save- Gordon (29). LP Paronto (2-3)
HR Davies (1).

Game two:

John Lieber gave Phils a big lift,
his pitches were snaky and swift.
Carlos Ruiz knocked in three;
J-roll number 20 HR with great glee.
Bobby Cox was somber and miffed.

Philadelphia 7, Atlanta 2.
WP Lieber (8-9), LP Hudson (12-11)
HR LaRoche (31), McCann (20).
Ruiz (3), Rollins (20).

Best we've been in a while...
The team seems to have found a spark...
That makes all the faithful smile...

Gotta keep movin along with a will...
And a steady relentless pace...
To push that rock farther up hill...
On our quest to assure us a place...
