THE PATIENT HAS LIFE

From the mat the team came up swinging.
Seventeen hits—Phils’ bats were singing.
Howard and Utley went deep,
Abreu woke up from his sleep.
At season half, time to start winging.

July 2, 2006. Rogers Center, Toronto, Canada.
Philadelphia – 11, Toronto – 6.
WP – Geary (5-0). LP – Burnett (1-2).
HR – Howard (28), Utley (16).

FLASH – Utley, Howard, and Flash Gordon named to all-star team.

SPORADIC YANKEE JOURNAL
ON A NIGHT WHEN WRIGHT AINT RIGHT & THE METS GO AHEAD BY FOUR
THE YANKS COME ALIVE AND SCORE A GREAT MANY MORE
FOR AWHILE THE HERO WAS NICK GREEN WHO WAS NEW TO THE SCENE
BUT A-ROD WENT ON A 2 HOMERUN 7 RBI SPREE
AND MADE THIS A JOYOUS NIGHT FOR LITTLE OL' ME.
