LOSING STREAK AT FIVE

It’s like the team’s in a daze,
let’s take time to count the ways.
Big hope Cole Hamels was bad,
Chase Utley can’t hit – now that’s sad.
Clubbed by last-place Devil Rays.

June 16, 2006. Citizens Bank Park, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Tampa Bay – 10, Philadelphia – 4.
WP – Shields (3-0). LP – Hamels (1-2).
HR – J. Lugo -2 (7), Hollins (9).

Metaphorically Speaking...

What can you say
when we're in dis array
Nothin' is workin'
the fans are berserk 'n
the players can't seem to play...

Bravos are in a similar fix
and its just sorta ticks
me off...the Mets have thier way
most everyday...
making the division a New York runaway...

But hope springs eternal
and the Gods are infernal...
They twist us and turn us
then heat up the furnace...
then tease us with wins
that make up for past sins...
'bout the time things look lacey...
Up comes Casey!!!
